ISG Dammam’s Grade 2 Fairytale Themed Reading Celebration
SHARE
On September 30, ISG Dammam’s Grade 2 students hosted a joyful Reading Celebration in the auditorium, transforming the stage into a world of imagination and storytelling. The theme of the event was fairytales and students delighted the audience by dressing up as their favorite characters from classic stories.
Each student took the spotlight to present a short description of a fairytale book they had chosen. The presentations were shared with younger students, giving Grade 2 the chance to serve as role models while inspiring a love of reading in the grades below them.
The celebration was more than just a chance to wear costumes. It was an opportunity for students to practice essential skills. By reading and retelling their chosen stories they strengthened their comprehension, while the creative element of dressing as their characters encouraged imagination and expression. Presenting in front of an audience also supported social growth and built confidence in public speaking.
The event captured the spirit of learning at ISG Dammam: students building knowledge while also gaining confidence and creativity. The Grade 2 Reading Celebration was a reminder that reading can open doors not only to new worlds on the page but also to growth in skills that last a lifetime.
