Student Leadership at ISG Dammam Taking Initiative to Enhance Indoor Spaces

A branch of ISG Dammam’s Student Council has launched the prayer room revamp initiative. Students have managed to create something valuable with their leadership abilities by showing a keen interest in the improvement of one of the indoor areas in our school. With a clear vision and a strong sense of responsibility, students identified an opportunity to enhance an important indoor environment used daily by members of the school community.

It should be noted that students have decided to improve the interior of the prayer rooms by purchasing carpets, making the atmosphere more comfortable and welcoming. In addition, air fresheners have been placed in order to make the room more pleasant and inviting for people to pray in. These thoughtful improvements reflect a deep understanding of how physical environments can influence focus, wellbeing, and a sense of belonging.

​​Looking ahead, the Student Council is continuing their work by inviting contributions of prayer mats and prayer covers, allowing the wider community to play a role in further enriching the space. This next step builds on the same spirit of care and collaboration that has defined the project from the beginning.

The prayer room revamp is more than just an upgrade to a physical space. It highlights how students at ISG Dammam actively take initiative, recognize needs within their environment and follow through with purposeful action. Through this project, they have shown leadership that is both practical and compassionate, reinforcing the importance of creating indoor spaces that support reflection, respect and community connection.
