Dear Parents,
Congratulations to ISG Dammam for winning first place in the SAIKAC U19 Table Tennis tournament and to ASD for placing second and BSD for placing third in the U14 category. On December 9, ISG Jubail remote hosted the SAIKAC Table Tennis tournament on the Dhahran campus, with mixed-aged groups from six participating schools: ISG Jubail, ASD, BSD, ISG Dammam, Dhahran Aramco School and Ras Tanura Aramco School. The various athletic tournaments we hold at ISG showcase not only athletic prowess but also emphasize the importance of sportsmanship, teamwork and healthy competition in schools. These events contribute significantly to students’ holistic development, fostering values of discipline, resilience and mutual respect, and play an important role in shaping well-rounded individuals in our educational community. Thanks to all our ISG coaches for their efforts to our athletic program: Chona Panuela, Maissaa Jenblat, Jaenelle Andrada and Mike Sprague from ASD, Hajer Ben Al, Mayssaa Safadi, Tom Swords and Maha Sousak from BSD; Wala Emam, Sindhu John and Sara Moustafa from ISG Dammam and Christopher Broderick from ISG Jubail.
The ISG U16 Football Jamboree brought together athletes from our four schools for a day of spirited and friendly matches. The emphasis on friendly matches in such events is instrumental in benefiting our athletes. These encounters provide invaluable practice time and extended periods on the field, allowing players to hone their skills, refine strategies, build stronger team dynamics, experiment with techniques and try tactical variations, all in an atmosphere that fosters learning and development. Beyond the competitive aspect, these friendly matches contribute significantly to the overall growth of our athletes, affording them not just the thrill of the game but also the opportunity for continuous improvement within sportsmanship. Thanks to all our ISG coaches who continuously work together to plan and execute these events for the benefit of our students and their love for sports and athleticism: Lorin Sprague, Shay Abdelraheem, Maria Dorelyn Guillermo and Zeina Jreije from ASD; Jennifer Gilbert, Nourhan Arnoot and Rosie Hepworth from BSD; James Fredenburg, Meisie Maja and Rawan Abdullah from ISG Jubail; and Darine Al-Khouri, Wejdan Al-Harbi and Sara Moustafa from ISG Dammam.
