Dear ISG Community,
I would like to congratulate the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia on hosting the 2030 Expo! With the 2030 Expo’s focus on the theme “Connecting Minds, Creating the Future,” this event marks a significant milestone in the nation’s commitment to global engagement and progress and also positions the kingdom as a key player in shaping the future through collaborative endeavors and forward-thinking initiatives.
On November 23, ISG hosted The Google Lunch and Learn event, one of a series of events in Google’s KSA kick-off tour to showcase the Google Education platform. Thirty guests from schools and educational organizations in the Eastern Province and 15 staff from ISG attended the presentation. Representatives from International Program Schools, Saudi Aramco Expatriate Schools, Alhussan International School, Al Forsan International School, Alkifah International Academy, IDP Education Ltd., Jubail Industrial College, The Royal Commision Jubail, Gemini Institute of English and Foreign Languages, SPSP, Dunes International School, Mohammed ALMana College for Medical Sciences, Basmah Company, Labvent and The Bridge were present. Ehab Gheidan, MENA Google Education Customer Engineering Lead, gave a presentation called The Future of Education, and Paul Crossley, LearnIT Education Director, shared updates to the new Google Workspace and Chromebooks and how these new features benefit schools. ISG students, Google Level 2 certified teachers and staff shared how each of them use the features of Google Education Workspace on a daily basis to facilitate their learning, communication and productivity. We are very excited for Google’s presence in the kingdom and look forward to hosting more collaborative events in the future.

I would like to remind you that the last day of school before winter break is on December 19. All ISG schools will be closed December 20, 2023 - January 6, 2024. We will resume classes on Sunday, January 7, 2024.
