Bringing Ancient Egypt to Life: A Museum Experience

In the Ancient Civilizations class, middle school students studied and researched the Second River Valley Civilization in Egypt under the guidance of their teacher, Mrs. Patricia. Their goal was to recreate a dynamic museum featuring their findings, bringing history to life through creativity and teamwork.

Students were placed in randomly selected teams and used various sources and perspectives to research key elements of Ancient Egyptian culture. They explored timelines, facts and the unification of lower Egypt and upper Egypt into one civilization.

With the help of the art department at ISG Jubail, students brought their museum to life through handmade crafts and artistic creations, including clay sculptures, paintings, pencil-colored drawings, jewelry and even makeup designs. Their projects highlighted key aspects of ancient Egyptian life while incorporating creativity to engage visitors and connect history with art.

The students invited their peers and parents to visit the museum, offering them the opportunity to experience their hard work and creativity firsthand. This interactive museum project allowed students to delve into history in an immersive way, combining research, teamwork and artistic expression.
