Elementary Families Gather for Middle School Information Day at ISG Jubail

The ISG Jubail community came together for Middle School Information Day, where elementary families and students had the opportunity to learn more about the next chapter in their educational journey. Held in the multi-purpose room, the event was filled with conversation, excitement and meaningful connections.

The afternoon began with a special performance by the middle school band, conducted by our band teacher, Mrs. Kris Hammer. The music set a warm and welcoming tone for the event and gave families a glimpse of the skills their children will begin developing in the coming year.

Middle school students and teachers worked together to create a warm, informative space that reflected the energy of daily life in middle school. Each subject was represented with posters, classroom photos and examples of the activities students participate in, whether working individually or in groups and teams. Students spoke with enthusiasm about their classes, sharing personal insights and answering questions from visiting families.

One highlight of the academic program is that middle school students get to experience both art and band. This gives them the opportunity to explore their interests before choosing which subject they would like to continue with in the following year.

Throughout the event, teachers introduced themselves and spoke about the lessons they teach, giving families a clear picture of the middle school curriculum and classroom environment. Mrs. Jordaan's presentation offered an in-depth look at what families can expect as their children transition into middle school. She introduced the teachers who will be guiding students next year and emphasized the life skills taught at ISG Jubail, including time management and digital organization.

A strong focus on technology showed how students are being equipped with tools and habits that support learning and prepare them for real-world challenges.

The event closed with student-led presentations, as middle schoolers took turns speaking about their favorite subjects and what they have learned. Their passion and confidence left a lasting impression on the families in attendance.

One parent shared, “The session was very informative and engaging. I feel confident that middle school will prepare my child for the next level of education.”

It was a memorable afternoon that brought together students, teachers and families in the spirit of learning and support. The experience left many elementary students excited about the future and helped families feel assured about the path ahead.
