Elementary students from KG to Grade 5, alongside Mrs. Shereen, proudly displayed their first art projects outside the winter concert for parents, staff and fellow students to admire. The theme of the display focused on the exploration of lines, the elements of art, and how to use space on a canvas or paper in a strategic way. Students showcased a variety of styles, including line art, optical art, and optical illusions, as well as three-dimensional creations.
The young artists worked with a range of materials such as watercolors, colored pencils, markers, paint and oil pastels to bring their ideas to life. As they reflected on their completed pieces, many students were amazed at what they had created. Even new students demonstrated their ability to execute artistic concepts, highlighting the inclusive nature of the project.
Throughout the process, students expressed a sense of independence and joy as they worked on their art, feeling supported and guided by their teacher. The depth and beauty of their artwork not only reflected their artistic skills but also showcased their intelligence and creative thinking. The display was a wonderful testament to the power of imagination and the growth of young minds through art.
