The ISG Jubail middle school and high school bands took center stage on Monday, May 6. Under the skilled direction of Ms. Kris Hammer, the bands delivered not one, but two unforgettable performances; one for students and another for families.
The Grade 6 band made their stage debut, playing their rendition of Beethoven's Ninth Symphony theme and a lively medley of Queen classics, "We Will Rock You" and "Another One Bites the Dust."
Next, the Grade 7 band treated listeners to a diverse selection, including the vibrant "Celebration for Winds," the serene Japanese folk song "Sakura," and the iconic "Main Theme" from Star Wars.
Not to be outdone, the Grade 8 band captivated with their performance of "Sol Invictus," "Arabian Suite," and the stirring "Highlights" from the Star Wars saga.
Combining their talents, the Grade 9 and 10 bands delivered a memorable performance featuring the dynamic "Into the Storm," a tribute to Queen's legendary "Bohemian Rhapsody," and the cinematic "Great Movie Adventures" by composer John Williams.
Ms. Hammer took a moment to honor the Grade 10 students, recognizing their contributions to the band program as they completed their final year in the ISG Jubail band program.
For the concert’s grand finale, former band members, along with staff, joined forces for an epic rendition of "Epic." With over 80 students on stage, it was a truly remarkable and unforgettable experience for all involved.
We are extremely proud of our ISG Jubail bands that continue to inspire and delight with their passion for music. They never fail to leave a lasting impression on audiences and showcase their talent and dedication.
