2025-26 STUDENT CALENDAR
We would like to bring your attention to an update in the 2025-26 calendar (next school year) that was published last week. The minimum day scheduled for November 13, 2025 next school year has been removed, and this day is now a teacher professional day and a student holiday. November 13 is a staff work day where our ISG staff will be engaging in a full day of professional development.
ISG’S COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT AND CONNECTIONS
ISG is committed to community engagement in all areas, from parental involvement to partnerships with organizations that enrich the ISG learning environment and our community.
Through various parental engagement events, including regular PTG meetings and our school councils, parents are invited to play an active role in the school community. This year, each school council will engage in meaningful discussions, covering topics such as campus operations, learning plans and opportunities for members to provide feedback to the school principal.
Leadership’s external relations further connect ISG with local organizations, creating company engagement and partnerships such as our connections with the American Chamber of Commerce, Alliance Francaise, the Khobar Music Hub, local sports leagues, Canary Vista, Aramco, BAE, the Royal Commission and more, create opportunities that enhance experiences, expand resources for our students and foster relationships with potential community and career partners.
Our students are active participants in community outreach and activities, volunteering with local organizations and planning events that reflect ISG’s Mission for compassionate action and commitment to act. Examples of these community activities include engaging with individuals with special needs and developmental disabilities, beach cleanups, tree planting, book drives and more. Programs across our campuses promote inclusive learning through collaborations with charities, hosting of awareness events and supporting community learning initiatives such as breast cancer and child cancer awareness.
ISG students regularly volunteer at these events, helping build a culture of service and global awareness that reinforces their role as empathetic, responsible citizens. Through these diverse engagement activities, ISG not only nurtures academic growth but also prioritizes fostering lifelong core values of collaboration, kindness and civic responsibility in every student.
SAIKAC VOLLEYBALL TOURNAMENTS
At the SAIKAC U14 volleyball tournament held on November 7-9 at the Dhahran campus, our ISG teams competed against other schools in the Eastern Province in an action-packed day on the courts.
Boys’ and girls’ teams from each school participated in a series of competitive games, showing their skills and teamwork as they competed for the title of first place.
As for the results, in the boys’ final tournament BSD won gold and ASD won bronze. In the girls’ tournament ASD won gold and BSD won bronze.
It was inspiring to see each of our ISG teams play with determination and commitment and we are incredibly proud of the sportsmanship they all displayed.

Supporting Students in an Ever-changing World: New Research, Tips and Strategies for Parents
In this presentation Sean Truman will review the latest trends in student experience and how students are faring in terms of their functioning and mental health. He will also identify factors that optimize wellbeing in students and in families. These observations and recommendations are garnered from his clinical and consulting work with international school communities worldwide.
He will also share data from recent research and explore how these results translate into learning points, including specific ways that parents can directly support their children to maintain an optimal sense of balance in their social and emotional lives. Topics will include the changing mental health landscape for young people, understanding the ongoing increase in anxiety and depression in youth, the impact of social media and technology use, factors that promote a student’s ability to develop and maintain resilience, and ways for students to build a greater sense of independence and confidence to navigate transitions effectively.
We look forward to you joining the ISG community for this important, meaningful and practical conversation.
