Take the First Step
Primary School Overview

The British School Dhahran is not just a school, it's a journey of discovery and growth. At our school, memorable experiences are created that cultivate a profound love for learning.

Our educational approach is a harmonious blend of creativity and structure. While we uphold the highest standards in teaching core subjects such as English, mathematics, and science, our commitment goes beyond benchmarks. We are deeply rooted in our rich, international setting, taking pride in embracing and celebrating diversity.

In primary, we offer an inspiring learning environment: a sun-lit library encouraging a love for reading, a purpose-built kitchen for culinary creativity, a designated art room and a music room to encourage artistic expression and a computer lab to teach our young learners how to use technology.

Early Years (EY) and key stage one (KS1) children also have access to a soft playroom for joyful exploration and gross motor skill development. Physical Education forms an integral part of our learning at BSD where skills are acquired and sportsmanship is celebrated.

At British School Dhahran, we create an environment where every moment is an opportunity for growth and discovering the joy of learning.

Student Leadership

At British School Dhahran we offer numerous student leadership opportunities. In the primary division, students have the opportunity to become House Captains and Student Council members. These student leaders become the voice of the student body. They are actively involved in the school community and regularly organise events that include fun filled activities that support charities close to our hearts.

BSD Primary Student Wellbeing

Student Wellbeing

At BSD, our teachers and school counselor recognise that each student is a unique individual with their own learning style and interests.  Our approach is to look at the whole student and what he or she needs to grow, and that includes their education, their social wellbeing and their emotional wellbeing.  In primary, we follow the PERMAH model of positive education, that emcompasses each individual's wellbeing and what they need to flourish.
