UNIVERSITY VISITS IN DECEMBER
Although December was a shorter month for ISG students due to the winter break, it was packed with valuable opportunities for university engagement. Several institutions visited our campuses, giving students a firsthand look at academic programs, admissions processes and exciting scholarship options.
Additionally, two virtual sessions were held: a College Clinic to address last-minute university application questions and a presentation by Central European University highlighting their programs and why they are an excellent choice for international students.
Two universities that visited ISG in December were:
University of Alberta
Students were thrilled to learn about the University of Alberta co-op programs, which provide hands-on experience in their fields of study while offering a stipend during participation. These co-op experiences allow students to enhance their resumes alongside earning their Bachelor’s degrees.
International students were particularly excited about the President's International Distinction Scholarship, a generous award of $120,000 over four years granted to 25 students annually. (Note: International students must apply by January 10, 2025, to be eligible for consideration.)
Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland (RCSI) Bahrain
RCSI Bahrain delivered presentations both in-person and virtually throughout December, presenting their medical and nursing programs. They outlined entry points for their 5-year, 6-year and 7-year medical programs, along with specific course and score requirements tailored to students in A-Levels, AP courses and the IBDP program. RCSI also invited students and families to book an official campus tour to experience the university firsthand.
These sessions underscored ISG's commitment to connecting students with world-class educational opportunities and helping them prepare for their academic journeys beyond high school. We are very proud of the ISG University Preparation Program and the efforts made to connect our students with these opportunities.
