VACANCIES ON THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES
The ISG Board anticipates trustee vacancies for the 2025-26 school year and warmly invites interested parents to submit nominations. Serving as a trustee is a valuable opportunity to contribute to the strategic direction of ISG and support the continued success of our schools. Trustees play a vital role in shaping policies, ensuring academic excellence, and strengthening our school community.
If you are passionate about education and eager to make a meaningful impact, we encourage you to consider this opportunity.
We look forward to welcoming nominations from dedicated individuals who are committed to the growth and advancement of ISG.
Please see this letter from Mr. Andrew Law, ISG Board Chair, for more information on the nominations process.
BSD CROWNED CHAMPIONS OF THE U13 BSME GAMES IN ABU DHABI
I am thrilled to share that BSD has made history at the BSME Games, achieving one of its best-ever results and being crowned overall champions of the U13 BSME Games! This unforgettable experience showcased the incredible dedication, talent and sportsmanship of our student-athletes as they competed against peers from across the Middle East.
A huge thank you to our dedicated coaches, whose unwavering support, encouragement and expertise played a pivotal role in this success. Your commitment to our students—both on and off the field—is truly inspiring.
Congratulations to our athletes for this outstanding achievement. You have made BSD and ISG incredibly proud!
SCHOOL COUNSELOR APPRECIATION WEEK
At ISG, we are fortunate to have rich resources to support our students in academic, social, emotional, and physical areas of their lives.
This week is Counselor Appreciation Week. I want to take this opportunity to thank our counselors for their dedication to the support of our students as they engage academically in their individual ways, their compassion for the unique learners our students are, and the empathy shown for the students and families in our community.
ADVERSE WEATHER MESSAGE
As we navigate the changing weather conditions throughout each school year, we want to reassure families that the safety of our students and staff remains our top priority. In the event of adverse weather, such as heavy fog, we encourage families and staff to travel only when it is safe to do so from their own residential area.
Students arriving late due to unsafe travel conditions will not be marked as absent or tardy. If there are significant late arrivals, we will operate a flexible start to the school day to accommodate those affected.
The wellbeing and safety of our community are of the utmost importance.
RAMADAN HOURS
As we prepare for the holy month of Ramadan, we would like to inform you of our adjusted school hours:
- Students: 9 a.m. – 2 p.m.
- Staff: 8:30 a.m. – 2:30 p.m.
These revised hours will be in effect throughout Ramadan, from March 2-27, to support our community during this special time.
Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.
APPLY NOW: SAN ENGINEERING AND SCIENCE SYMPOSIUM
We are excited to invite high school students from ASD, BSD, ISG Dammam, and ISG Jubail to apply for the SAN Engineering and Science Symposium!
This student-led initiative was founded by two passionate Grade 10 students from ASD who wanted to create a platform for students to showcase their love for science, technology and innovation.
The symposium offers an incredible opportunity for students to present projects, share ideas and connect with like-minded peers who are eager to explore the future of engineering and science.
Applications open on February 9, and more details can be found on the event website: www.sanes.me.
Be sure your child doesn’t miss this chance to be part of an inspiring event driven by students, for students!
MULTIPURPOSE SPACE (MPS) UPDATE
If you are in the vicinity of the Dhahran campus, you may have seen the multipurpose space rising above the walls. We’re happy to share the latest progress on this MPS —an area designed to bring our community together for learning, collaboration and events.
The MPS will provide an expanded space for daily learning, activities and athletics as well as for special events reflecting our commitments to inclusion, unity, and versatility, ensuring it meets the diverse needs of our students and staff and our community.
Watch this video for an inside look at the updates and what’s coming next!
PERSPECTIVES ON HISTORY
I was fortunate this week to connect with ASD HS Students who are a part of an US Foreign Policy Class.
Their assignment was to interview leadership about a significant event in US History to gain an understanding on the importance of oral histories and the impact of significant events on different perspectives, as well as to gain positive relationships with leadership at ISG.
The experience allowed me to share my perspective and connection of this historical event and engage in meaningful conversation with these students on their perspectives and views.
This kind of connection and understanding is essential in our global world as we navigate the interactions across countries and cultures and we preserve history to learn from and build upon for the future.

SVS TO HOST EXCITING BAE JAMBOREE
SVS is very excited to be hosting the annual BAE Jamboree this year. Students and staff from BISR schools in Al Majmaah, Tabuk and Taif will be joining our year 5 and 6 students between the 9th and the 12th February for a range of fun activities both on and off the compound.
On the compound, students will collaborate and work together in teams while engaging in STEM activities, music, sports, a talent contest and a scavenger hunt. Off compound, students will spend a day and a night camping on a local beach. They will have the opportunity to play sports, explore the local surroundings and engage in a beach clean up activity.
The main aims of the jamboree are for students to make new friends, secure existing friendships and have new experiences while learning and having fun together.
Our students really enjoyed last year’s Jamboree in Taif so we look forward to making our event a memorable one for all.
